Usage:

Dioctyl Sebacate (DOS) is an excellent freeze-resisting plasticizer used in PVC, chlorethlene polymer, cellulose nitrate, ethyl cellulose and synthetic rubber, with high plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, good cold-resisting property, light-resisting and electric insulating property. Dioctyl Sebacate (DOS) is especially suitable for producing cold-resisting electric wire, cable, imitation paper, plastic film and plant. But its high migratory aptitude makes Dioctyl Sebacate (DOS) easy to be extracted by solvent of kind, and its water-proof property is not so good (better than ABS), Dioctyl Sebacate (DOS) is usually used together with DOP. Dioctyl Sebacate (DOS) can serve as plasticizer in low temperature for compound rubber, Dioctyl Sebacate (DOS) has no effect on the sulfuration of the rubber.
